2018, 2020 Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources Reporting Fellow, Upper Mississippi River Institute and Gulf Coast Institute Joined IJNR on two expeditions to study the effects of farm runoff, frac sand extraction and over development on the Mississippi River and Basin, including the Gulf “Dead Zone.”

Trained as an Expedition Assistant with Norwegian Cruise ship MS Fram. Wrote blog posts, assisted in Antarctic camping, landings and odd jobs with the ship's expedition team. I am certified as Field Staff for South Georgia and Peninsula Expedition Guides with the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO).
